Amy Carlson

Holistic Nutritionist

Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science with a focus in holistic nutrition.  Since obtaining her degree, Amy is counseling people in making nutritional changes through various stages of their lives.  Much of Amy’s focus and dedication the past two years has been spent working with those who wish to start a family, who are choosing to expand their family, as well as with women who are pregnant, who are post-partum, and who are breast-feeding.  A nutritious lifestyle is advantageous especially during these particular stages of life.

Amy is passionate about using education and counseling to help individuals make and implement changes to their diet.  She recognizes that each individual has unique needs; there is not one particular protocol or “set of rules” that will work for everyone.  Using fresh, whole foods to obtain vital nutrients, Amy will partner with you to ensure your nutritional choices help you achieve your desired level of wellness.

Judith Thompson

Naturopathic Consultant
Judith Thompson is a naturopathic doctor licensed in the state of Vermont, with a focus on women’s and children’s health. Judith offers naturopathic consultations to educate clients about hormonal imbalances, pediatric concerns, digestive complaints, skin troubles, emotional disturbances, poor sleep and allergies. Trained in nutrition, homeopathy, herbal medicine and bio-energetic healing at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, her consultations integrate naturopathic and conventional models of care to attain the client’s highest level of well-being.
Judith’s training as a naturopathic midwife has shown her the importance of attaining a strong foundation of health starting from birth. She believes that a pregnancy nurtured with vibrant, alive foods, daily, tonifying exercise, positive, caring relationships and a loving, joyful spirit leads to lifelong health. Working with parents, she ignites conscious attention to all levels of well-being to create a natural path of health for newborns and children. For women desiring pregnancy, she helps strengthen and expand existing levels of physical, mental and emotional health to create a strong basis for pregnancy.
A note about naturopathic medicine in Florida: The state of Florida does not currently license naturopathic doctors. There are efforts underway in the state government to allow licensure of naturopathic physicians. State representatives need to hear from their constituents regarding their choices to obtain healthcare. Licensing naturopathic doctors would help the public know what kind of training a practitioner received and how they can help you attain better health. Your input is very important. Your local legislators need to know that your right to see the practitioner that you choose is limited. If you are interested in promoting natural health initiatives in Florida please contact Judith or visit www.FNPA.org
Always discuss any health concerns or questions with your primary care physician or medical doctor.
The N.D. course of study is an intensive four-year graduate program including approximately 4,500 hours of academic and clinical training. The program leads to licensure as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.). Consumers beware of the terminology. “Naturopathy” has in the recent past been used as a generic and vernacular term to describe an individual who utilizes non-drug and “natural” therapies in working with customers. For example, in the State of California, anyone can call him/herself a naturopath, but naturopathic doctors have to be licensed. An unlicensable naturopath has NOT graduated from four-year, doctoral-level, accredited naturopathic medical education programs, and therefore is NOT trained or licensed to diagnosis and treat. The terms “naturopath”, “naturopathic physician” and “naturopathic doctor” are protected titles in many states. Unfortunately, the term “naturopath” is often utilized in unlicensed states as an equivalent to naturopathic doctor and is heavily utilized by graduates of diploma mills. Always check your practitioner’s credentials.
