I discovered the incredible strength of women during my midwifery studies, but also witnessed how traditional reproductive healthcare often overlooks women’s knowledge and experiences, leaving many feeling isolated and unheard. In 2012, after decades of pain, I was diagnosed with endometriosis, and in 2014, after two years of infertility, I became pregnant. My journey to motherhood included a powerful homebirth, followed by two miscarriages and finally, the birth of my rainbow baby in 2018, also at home. Throughout this journey, I found immense healing and support from a community of wise women health practitioners—Acupuncturists, Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Yoga teachers, and Arvigo® Therapists—who not only helped with my physical healing but held space for me to process my emotional wounds and overcome the stigma of infertility and loss. Inspired by the profound impact of this support, I trained in Arvigo Therapy®, Womb & Fertility Massage Therapy™, Pregnancy Massage, and McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release® to offer the same healing and care to others. This led to the creation of Earthshine Village, where I am honored to pass on the gifts of wisdom and healing I received from my own village of support.
