Janneli Miller

Dr. Janneli F. Miller has been a woman’s health care practitioner and herbalist since the 1970’s. . She practiced as a homebirth midwife in Oregon, Arizona and Colorado from 1977 through the early 2008 when she retired from attending births to study with Rosita Arvigo in Belize and begin her work in Maya Abdominal Therapy. Janneli practices the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy in the Four Corners region of Colorado (Durango, Cortez, Dolores). . Janneli also holds a PhD in Medical Anthropology, conducting research on solitary birth among the indigenous Rarámuri of N. Mexico. She is a passionate advocate of birthing without fear She believes wholeheartedly that individuals can heal themselves, yet also knows that sometimes we need support and encouragement from a caring professional.Janneli combines her experiences with ethnobotany, midwifery and the Arvigo bodywork to serve her community.
