Comfort is 45 minutes north of San Antonio/San Antonio International Airport and just under 2 hours from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

Tuition

$1445 USD (early registration) if paid in full by August 8th 2023.

$1545 USD (check, zelle or credit card) – $500 deposit, balance is due by October 15th 2023.

Includes Pregnancy Care manual, dinner first night, coffee/teas and healthy snacks daily.

Meals

Dinner the first night is included in tuition. Other meals are on your own. Coffee/teas/water and healthy snacks are included.  
You are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat on site. Information on restaurants and grocery stores in the area will be provided after registration.

Any Arvigo practitioner who wishes to expand their practice, deepen their knowledge, intuition and connect with to the multicultural wisdom around conception, pregnancy birth and beyond.

Any Arvigo practitioner who would like to become a channel for traditional healing ways to create easier births, less complicated pregnancies and happy healthy postpartum period for their clients, women, children and families. 

  • Midwives and nurses who wish to expand their offerings to include hands on client sessions for fertility, prenatal, postpartum massage and bodywork as well as a non medical holistic approach to women’s wellness in all cycles.
  • Massage therapists, Physical therapists, pelvic bodyworkers, Occupational Therapists, Chiropractors who wish to be seen as an expert in their community and a specialist in Pregnancy Birth and Postpartum massage therapy.

Lisa is the owner and founder of The Red Tent Healing Arts Center and it’s sister site Amazing Births. She brings more than 36 years as a full time licensed massage therapist in women’s health, 20 years as a busy birth doula, midwives assistant and training facilitator to her work with women & families and her dedication to teaching.
In her hands on practice she specializes in women’s reproductive health, holistic fertility, healing vulvar conditions, pre and postpartum massage therapy,  most prominently her Arvigo® Maya Abdominal Therapist work since studying directly with Rosita Arvigo in 2007.
Lisa holds a passionate belief in the innate wisdom of women’s bodies and is dedicated to her teaching this sacred work and passing on the tradition healing to others so it not be forgotten.
As a teacher for the esteemed Arvigo Institute since 2015, Lisa has created a few of her own popular  professional trainings and offerings in her “Womb School, programs in Pelvic Hydrotherapy, Botanical Hydrosols for Pelvic Health and Moxibustion for Pelvic Health.

Lisa’s background and experience in women’s holistic health education and program facilitation, provide depth and expansiveness to her lesson plans, teaching style,  and her well thought out course syllabus, organized for a balanced, cohesive and transformative and immersive experience backed by her lived and extensive clinical experience.

Abigail Reagan

Inspired by the birth of my second child with midwives in 1989, I felt called to attend to women during this powerful and transformative time in their lives. Training first as a birth doula, then a childbirth educator, then an apprentice midwife, and ultimately completing California midwifery licensure in 2003, I have had the opportunity to work with women in home, hospital, and birth center. Through my experiences, I came to believe strongly in women’s inherent wisdom and power, and the importance to support them during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum to connect with their inner resources.

I am a Licensed Midwife who has been supporting women since 1993. I created and taught the Birth Doula Training program at Natural Resources in San Francisco for 12 years. My curiosity and holistic approach to women’s wellness led me to extensive studies in nutrition, homeopathy, herbology, prenatal exercise, Energy Medicine, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy®, Maya Spiritual Healing,  and Holistic Pelvic Care™. Prerequisites

Completion of Arvigo® Professional Care Training is a prerequisite  as well as deep desire to heal birth and be of service to pregnant women. 

What to expect

What to Expect with this Arvigo Pregnancy Care Training:

  • 120 page Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy Supporting Pregnancy manual. 
  • Manuals include guidelines for Preconception, fertility enhancement including ART 
  • Childbearing year anatomy & physiology with considerations for every phase of pregnancy 
  • Considerations for every trimester including labor and birth. 
  • Miss Hortence’s birthing wisdom, herbal recipes and recommendations 
  • Fourth trimester postpartum wisdom and considerations
  • Recommendations for common complaints and conditions 
  • Use of Rainforest remedies during pregnancy (safely guided by Abigail’s herbal midwifery wisdom) 
  • Treatment recommendations for Cesarean and VBAC births 
  • What  techniques to use when and in what phase of the childbearing year and more!
  • Daily practicum, demos and hands on trades for each cycle of pregnancy with loving attention and guidance on how to support each emotional, physical and spiritual phase.
  • Take optimal pregnancy positioning for ultimate comfort, back to your massage, midwifery, ND and acupuncture practice.  Confidently position pregnant and postpartum clients with pillows or body cushion,  including sideling practice.
  • Local pregnant mama(s) for demonstrations when possible.
  • Feel confident with handouts and treatment guidelines for modalities such as steams, castor oil, belly supports, herbs within your scope of practice and mentoring in using your own intuition in treatments and practice.
