Lisa is the owner and founder of The Red Tent Healing Arts Center and it’s sister site Amazing Births. She brings more than 36 years as a full time licensed massage therapist in women’s health, 20 years as a busy birth doula, midwives assistant and training facilitator to her work with women & families and her dedication to teaching.
In her hands on practice she specializes in women’s reproductive health, holistic fertility, healing vulvar conditions, pre and postpartum massage therapy,  most prominently her Arvigo® Maya Abdominal Therapist work since studying directly with Rosita Arvigo in 2007.
Lisa holds a passionate belief in the innate wisdom of women’s bodies and is dedicated to her teaching this sacred work and passing on the tradition healing to others so it not be forgotten.
As a teacher for the esteemed Arvigo Institute since 2015, Lisa has created a few of her own popular  professional trainings and offerings in her “Womb School, programs in Pelvic Hydrotherapy, Botanical Hydrosols for Pelvic Health and Moxibustion for Pelvic Health.

Lisa’s background and experience in women’s holistic health education and program facilitation, provide depth and expansiveness to her lesson plans, teaching style,  and her well thought out course syllabus, organized for a balanced, cohesive and transformative and immersive experience backed by her lived and extensive clinical experience.

Class Details

This Maya Abdominal Massage Therapy training is a hybrid training with 8 hours of class time on zoom with Lisa to review anatomy and get to know each other prior to in person training time.

These hours are split into 2 days about a week apart dates TBA.

Maya Abdominal Therapy Practitioner Course Description

 

This training is limited to 10 students assuring a small group training assuring personal and intimate apprentice like environment that Lisa loves to provide. 

  • This is a complete training over 36 hours learning hands on competency in complete Maya Abdominal Therapy supine and prone bodywork 
  • Learning both supine abdominal, uterine, bladder positioning
  • Womb moving techniques to optimally position the uterus
  • Prone sacral, lumbar, coccyx work maya massage protocols as taught by Dr. Rosita Arvigo to do this work on others and enhance your practice with this specialty that so many are seeking  your help with.

At the end of this training you will be competent to perform a complete Maya Abdominal Massage treatment for fertility, digestive health and male and female reproductive health.

  • You will receive certificate of completion “Maya Abdominal Therapy Practitioner”
  • You will receive a lifetime directory listing on The Red Tent Womb School practitioner directory
  • As of this writing CEU’s are pending but not approved yet
  • Access to private online Facebook practitioner group and private Red Tent Healing Womb School forums for ongoing support from our Wise Woman community of Maya Abdominal Massage/Therapy practitioners-0

Who is this training For?

Any licensed practitioner or Massage Therapist, Midwife, Naturopathic Doctor, acupuncturist, ,CNM, RN, OT, MD, PT,  Chiropractor who wishes to expand her practice, deepen her knowledge, intuition and connect with to the multicultural wisdom around traditional hands on healing.

Tuition

$350 deposit or paid in full is required to register. Registration closes after 8 deposits or full payments are received.

 *Early registration tuition* is $1,300 deposit received by 5/19/25 paid in full by 8/15/25. 

$1595 tuition with balance due 9/15/25

Lunch is included daily 

Shared Lodging is available with 3 meals at venue charged separately TBA.

  • Womb Wisdom  or equivalent, Arvigo Selfcare level one is a prerequisite as well as being a licensed to touch health care provider.
  • License to touch healthcare provider or bodywork/massage therapy training

This venue is halfway between each airport. Bologna is slightly preferred .
